Qualcomm is going to present its latest and greatest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, earlier this year than in previous years. Its annual Hawaii event is taking place in 2023 between October 24 and October 26. A new rumor out of China claims Xiaomi definitely wants to be the first phone maker to announce new devices using the new chipset, and to ensure it's the first, it will do so on October 27, the day after Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit ends.
