Counterpoint: HMD shipped 2 million Nokia smartphones in Q1, up from 1.7 million a year ago
HMD Global shipped 2 million Nokia smartphones in the January-March period. That is up year on year (was 1.7 million in Q1 2020), but down from the previous quarter when the number of shipments reached 2.8 million, reports NokiaMob quoting data by Counterpoint Research. What went wrong and what went right? Nokia smartphones lost ground in India, they were down 38.5% from Q4 last year and down 17% from Q1 last year.
