The Nokia TA-1212, a feature phone with XpressMusic looks, has received 3C certification, signaling that it is nearing launch. The certification confirms that this is a 2G-only device (most carriers still have active 2G networks, but some have already shut theirs down). China and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (where the phone was also certified) do have old-school networks, though, there's still market for basic phones.
