Xiaomi announced that it will be launching a Mi 8 with 8GB of RAM on August 8. Pre-bookings kicked off on the very same day but actual sales are starting today. The beefed-up Mi 8 can be found on JD.com with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and it goes for CNY 3,299 ($480). Interestingly enough, the 6GB/256GB version is also going for CNY 3,299 so we are really hard-pressed to see why would anyone choose 2GB more RAM over 128GB of internal storage.
