Huawei formally announces the Kirin 710 12nm SoC

Today, Huawei announced its mid-tier nova 3i smartphone and the staple is the in-house HiSilicon Kirin 710 chipset. The Kirin 710 was a long overdue release as last year's 16nm Kirin 659 SoC was losing its competitive edge. The Kirin 710, on the other hand, aims to bring the 12nm node to the masses and according to Huawei, the new chipset delivers impressive performance and power efficiency gains.
