Thanks to the first teardown of the Xiaomi Mi 5X we see the internals and also get some basic instructions on how to open up the phone. It's reasonably simple, as far as modern smartphones go. After you pry open the back panel you'll see the motherboard, sub board and the battery. The disassembly guide warns that the Mi 5X's internal connectors are not fixed with metal plates and therefore could loosen if the phone is dropped, leading to failures.
