Gear VR provides virtual motivation to the worst football team in England

Samsung has ran campaigns in the past that have showcased how the Gear VR can help people get over their fears, but fears are not at the center of its latest campaign, failure is. Samsung conducted an experiment to see if the Galaxy S7 and the Gear VR could provide some virtual motivation to New Mills AFC which is considered as the worst football team in England.
The players walk into their dressing rooms one day and find that there’s a Gear VR for each one of them. Motivation comes in the form of a VR speech by an English football manager called Harry Redknapp. It sounds quite motivating indeed but unfortunately, it didn’t quite do the trick for New Mills AFC. Samsung itself points out that New Mills left the pitch still as the worst team in England, “but thanks to Galaxy S7 and Gear VR they entered it as champions.” New Mills AFC is yet to win their first game of the season.
