Samsung's Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ feature the Korean company's own Exynos 2400 SoC in some markets, and these were just unveiled last week. And yet, we already have a leak about the upcoming Exynos 2500 chipset, which is due to be used in the Galaxy S25 family a year from now. The CPU will allegedly keep the 10-core configuration of the Exynos 2400, but the 2500 will use ARM's upcoming CPU cores. It will be made on Samsung's second-generation 3nm process (3nm GAP/SF3). This is apparently better than TSMC's current 3nm process in area and efficiency. The Exynos 2500's CPU is said...

There will be no prizes for guessing which was the most popular phone in our database this week. After topping the trending chart since the start of the year, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra opened up a huge gap at the top now that it's finally official and available for pre-order. Compared to its closest followers it has twice and three times the interest, respectively. [#InlinePriceWidget, 12771, 1#] The vanilla Galaxy S24 took second, while the S24+, despite making more sense than many of its predecessors had to settle for seventh. The Redmi Note 13 Pro takes the last podium spot,...

We can officially call the past seven days 'Galaxy week'. Samsung dominated the headlines with the Galaxy S24 series announcement, despite rumors and leaks spoiling most of the surprises. Naturally, the Galaxy S24 Ultra outshone the Galaxy S24 and S24+ thanks to its new 5x camera, Titanium frame and new Corning glass, and, well, the fact that it's Samsung's biggest flagship of the year. AI was front and center at the announcement - the new Galaxies enable a myriad of AI-powered features. Circle to Search is a gesture-driven feature made in collaboration with Google - you long-press on...

Xiaomi commenced its Redmi Note 13 series global rollout last week and also announced a pair of Note 13 4G models. Redmi Note 13 4G is the most affordable entry in the series and is the latest device to make its way to the office. Based on the spec sheet, the chipset is the only difference between the Note 13 4G and its 5G counterpart but let’s see what else we've got here. Our Note 13 4G review unit comes in the Midnight Black color which features a mirror-like glossy finish on the back. It looked clean right out of the box but it was quickly smudged by fingerprints as we were...

Samsung says that the new Galaxy S24 Ultra has a “Quad Tele System” that offers four magnification levels: 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x. The middle two are achieved with optics, the first and last with advanced image processing. That’s just for zooming in, the S24 Ultra does have four actual cameras on its back – but it wasn’t that long ago when phones had just the one. That was the case in 2016 when the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge arrived – there was a single 12MP camera with a 26mm f/1.7 lens. It was fairly advanced with Dual Pixel autofocus and OIS, but still it locked you into a single focal...

The last page of our Asus ROG Phone 8/8 Pro review begins with “The ROG Phone is not a cheap device.” And we’re not the only ones that feel that way, in fact, it was the common sentiment in last week’s poll. Our review ends on a positive note and we found that Asus succeeded in its quest to make the ROG Phone 8 models more appealing to mainstream consumers. Many still see it as a gaming phone and aren’t interested in it, but maybe they will reconsider. As for others, a hotly debated topic in the comments was the switch to a punch hole camera. The ROG phones were among the last to...
